Biog Blurb:
Tony English began playing in 1998 and is now one of London’s most talked about DJs. From the early years of pirate radio to DJ residencies in London’s biggest clubs, this individual has catapulted to the forefront of London’s premiere elite.

In the club: Tony’s ability to rock dance floors, no matter if in Moscow, Ibiza, NYC, Israel or his home town of London, makes him a sure-fire attraction, leaving the crowd super charged and wanting more!

He resides for such top gay super brands as SuperMartXe (The Coronet, Brixton Academy and Pulse) and Lovechild (Fire). Tony also works as a resident for polysexual giants Pushca, as well as playing for Gaydar’s Lo-Profile club. What’s more, he hosts his own event in Shoreditch hotspot the Hoxton Pony. All this since he started in 1998 playing at most major clubs around the world, most notably Ministry of Sound, Pacha and Turnmills. In 2005, Tony was catapulted into the spotlight with his residency for Ibiza super brand Club Azuli at the legendary nightclub The Cross alongside the likes of Danny Rampling and Deadmau5.

Such a busy schedule in London allows Tony to pick his features. In addition to a busy international diary, Tony flew the flag overseas on the world tour for Lovechild across the UK, Europe, South Africa and U.A.E. North America is next.

Tony pushes the boundaries for European dance music and you’re just as likely to find him rocking 5,000 capacity main stages alongside the world’s biggest DJs as you are to find him playing more intimate sets of a 500 capacity venue.

On the radio: English started radio DJing in 1999 on Interface and, in 2000, moved on to London based pirate radio station House FM. It was here that Tony began his flagship Saturday show and, for the first time on pirate radio, was joined on a weekly basis by the world’s biggest DJs, from Roger Sanchez and Hernan Cattaneo to Bob Sinclar.

January 2009 saw Tony join Push FM, playing to over 20,000 listeners each week. It was here he began to develop live broadcasts, from beach events in Europe to clubs in South America.

Later, Tony was signed to GaydarRadio every Saturday night. He’s developed Saturday nights as the essential soundtrack to the weekend, joined every week by the biggest DJs in dance and spearheading tomorrow’s dance floor hits!

In the studio: Studio work is an area which has taken time in the English world to calculate the ‘English’ sound. After successfully releasing his first compilation album in 2009 for Nissan Quashqai, Tony has been developing that iconic sound. Having released a variety of white labels, Tony has recently joined up with a range of artists from the electronic gay and Spanish scene, and is scheduled to unleash over six singles and EPs for 2012, including the single ‘Lovechild’.
