And only a few steps away, Switzerland’s cities offer a wide range of arts, culture and event activities. Including a proper nightlife that holds many surprises in store. For example, Europe’s oldest gay bar, the “Barfüsser” in Zurich. Switzerland is also culturally extremely diverse. Four different languages are spoken, four cultures lived. This leads to remarkable openness. It is therefore no surprise that the same-sex marriage was adopted by a clear majority in a popular vote.
