Destination Report: New York
by GaydarRadio
02 December 2011
New York
"Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today!" Yes, we all know the tune and we all know the city - New York, New York, so good they named it twice!
New York is the largest city in the US and is one of the greatest gay destinations on the planet with a vibrant gay scene that seems to date back to the 1890s! The city is split into five boroughs, but the main gay scene straddles Manhattan and offers a buzz of bars, clubs, restaurants and shops.
Here's the GaydarRadio TO DO list, in association with ebookers.com.
Shopping
If shopping is your thing we definitely recommend a trip to Macy’s, but allow
most of the day to explore the store – it’s HUGE! Take a look at
www.macys.com.
Clubbing
Clubbing wise there are two main clubs you need to check out. Splash on 17th
Street is the most talked about club in the city right now with hot bartenders,
blazing dance tunes and themed nights. Another idea is to check out Pacha. Yes,
Ibiza and London are home to the iconic brand and so is New York City. Pacha New
York boasts a regular DJ line up including Fedde le Grand, Roger Sanchez while
Laidback Luke is hosting their New Year’s Eve party and is not to be missed! You
can pick up tickets from
www.clubtickets.com.

Theatre
If theatre is more to your taste then check out Broadway Week, which starts on
17 January, where you can pick up lots of 2-4-1 Broadway tickets for a host of
top shows though we recommend Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert! Other
participating shows will be announced in the New Year – so keep an eye on
www.nycgo.com/broadwayweek
or
book
advanced tickets now.
Eating Out
New York Restaurant Week starts then same week with massive discounts on the city's top restaurants, and, seeing as they're celebrating their twentieth anniversary, the 'week' is extended to 20 days of prix-fixe menus at hundreds of the most popular fine dining establishments from 16 January-10 February 2012 (Mondays to Fridays). Once again, menu prices will remain at $24.07 for lunch and $35 for dinner, excluding taxes and gratuities. www.nycgo.com/restaurantweek.

New Year's Eve
How about spending New Year's Eve in Times Square? This year’s live performances
will be from Lady GaGa and Justin Bieber!
New York is definitely one of the coolest and more vibrant destinations on our pink little planet and we want you to check it out! Our friends at ebookers.com have got some very exclusive offers available right now.
Check the search box and see what deals you can pick up from ebookers.com.
